ON THE HEELS OF A REBRANDING, MUDPUPPY INTRODUCES A RECORD 7 NEW CREATIVE TOYS FOR KIDS AT TOYFAIR 2016

New York, NY, February 10, 2016

Mudpuppy is launching a record number of new products highlighting a new logo and building its product collection at Toy Fair 2016 (Booth #6107). The mission of Mudpuppy is to create toys and children's activities that engage creativity and imagination.

  • There are a record 7 new product formats coming to market this fall that will be highlighted at the show.
  • Remaining true to the brand mission, Mudpuppy will focus on the brand’s top four categories: Puzzles & Games, Coloring & Craft, Magnetic Fun, and Books, Diaries & Journals.
  • The primary goal is to build products that enable children to imagine and create, unplugged from the digital world.  Many Mudpuppy product formats fit into the STEAM educational initiative (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math), supporting art and creativity as a necessary component of a child’s development.
  • Mudpuppy’s new products have a more modern, clean logo.  All products going forward will be designed with consistent placement of the logo so customers can easily identify Mudpuppy toys.

Galison Mudpuppy President, Bill Miller, said “We did not set out to change what Mudpuppy has done so well since it’s beginning in 1992.  We are a very successful award winning line with puzzles, magnet sets, journals and diaries.  Our goal was to modernize the line with new innovative formats that support our core mission of bringing art and creative play to kids in an imaginative, unplugged environment.”

Owned by Chronicle Books, the company will be aggressively focused on brand visibility and stock representation at gift, toy store, and online retail with the objective of merchandising products together by age, product format, or illustrator.
