Doll Accessory Company Expands Its “Toys That Teach” Line of Toys For Young Girls
The Queen’s Treasures® Inks Deals The Jane Goodall Institute To Create Toys With a Lesson

TOY FAIR BOOTH 1067

Stroudsburg, PA The Queen’s Treasures® has been on a royal roll creating a line of doll clothes, furniture and accessories inspired by the work of Dr. Jane Goodall. The line is sized to fit the popular 18” dolls made by American Girl®, Madame Alexander®, Toy R Us® and a host of other companies.  This doll body type has seemed to replace Barbie® in popularity and the company hopes to add an inspirational and educational aspect to “play”.

Expanding their line of products inspired by “Women who changed the world”, the company created a partnership with the Jane Goodall Institute (JGI). While continuing Dr. Goodall’s efforts to study and protect chimpanzees, JGI has also become a leader in innovative conservation approaches that better the lives of local people – like “Roots and Shoots”, it’s youth based conservation clubs. At 80 years young, Dr. Goodall has a special connection to young people. They respond not only to her passion for and curiosity about animals, but to her courage and hope for a better world.

Doll play has always been open-ended entertainment where little ones can make up scenarios and fill in adventures on a whim. The Queen’s Treasures® offer girls a play setting to learn about and admire a strong female scientist role model in Dr. Jane Goodall - who lives simply yet passionately.

Launched Holiday 2015, children are able to reenact and pretend play the true story of Dr. Goodall, whose pioneering research on wild chimpanzees helped change the way human beings perceive animals. The Queen’s Treasures® has created a rainforest camp featuring a canvas tent and canvas cot reminiscent of the ones Dr. Goodall used at Gombe Stream Research Center in Tanzania. Ten percent of sales for these items will be donated to the Jane Goodall Institute to support programs that further Dr. Goodall’s research, as well as chimpanzee conservation and the organization’s efforts to graduate a generation of young people committed to conservation. The product line is being developed with Dr. Goodall’s conservation philosophy in mind with ecofriendly materials and packaging.
