January 21, 2016 | The Toy Industry Association (TIA) will host its annual Toy Safety Update on the morning of Monday, February 15th at the 113th North American International Toy Fair. The free seminar will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in room 1E21 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.
The annual Toy Safety Update at Toy Fair provides manufacturers, retailers, toy inventors, testing labs and others within the toy industry with news and developments related to toy safety laws and regulations in the U.S. and abroad.
Following an opening from Steve Pasierb, TIA president and CEO, the seminar will feature presenters from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), TIA, and others who will provide updates and cover emerging legislative and regulatory activities and trends, including:
“TIA is pleased to once again provide a free seminar in our annual Toy Safety Update. The discussions will focus on important developments regarding product safety, as well as legislative and regulatory news from the U.S. and around the world,” said Joan Lawrence, TIA senior vice president of standards and regulatory affairs. “The speakers this year will aid all attendees with compliance and help ensure the worldwide development and distribution of safe toys and games.”
