Earth On Your Shirt
Toy Fair Booth #6117

New York, NY – (February 18, 2020) – We’re putting Little Earth on your shirt! Our popular Little Earth character is spreading a message of caring for the planet with our new eco-Tee.

When you come to The 2020 American International Toy Fair in New York (February 22-25), be sure to stop by Javits Center Booth 6117 to see the full line of Celestial Buddies products, including the company’s new Little Earth T-Shirt (MSRP $24.99).

“It’s not just any T-Shirt,” Jon Silbert, VP Sales of Celestial Buddies, explained. “When my daughter, Jessie, created the Celestial Buddies, her aim was to create a line of superior quality products that would make science fun and engaging for children. Our popularity soared last March when our Little Earth landed aboard the International Space Station.  To commemorate the event and to show our concern for our planet, we have designed a special T-Shirt that highlights the message: ‘Our Planet- Our Responsibility.’”

The stylish and fun new Little Earth T-Shirt celebrates the home planet and introduces some easy things earthlings can do to help preserve it.  Moreover, the company was careful to utilize natural and eco-friendly manufacturing methods. These environmentally friendly Tees are specially printed by Ink Forest, a Certified Green company that uses sustainable, vegan, non-polluting water-based inks that last through lots and lots of washings.

The new shirts are currently available in light blue color Child’s S, M and L, and in heather gray color Adult’s S, M and L (with XL coming soon). Celestial Buddies is offering a Toy Fair Show Special of $2 off each wholesale price ($13.99) shirt.

About Little Earth: Last Spring, when SpaceX made history by sending its Crew Dragon spaceship to dock at the International Space Station (ISS), the toy industry also experienced a historic accomplishment: A plush educational toy was aboard! Celestial Buddies, makers of the Little Earth toy, didn’t realize its Plush Planetary Pal was about to become the most famous toy in the universe, but the ISS crew quickly adopted a fondness for the cute Little Earth and made it a social media superstar. NASA astronaut Anne McClain and Canadian Space Agency astronaut David Saint-Jacques sent dozens of great photos that showed Little Earth touring the space station and enjoying the view. In doing so, they engaged the general public and contributed to a resurgence of interest in the space program. When Crew Dragon was ready to return home, Little Earth was kidnapped by the crew to stay aboard the ISS indefinitely. Indeed, since becoming an unofficial astronaut in training, Little Earth has also enjoyed being a featured part of the NASA-SpaceX Emmy Award-Winning Outstanding Interactive Program.

The voyage of Little Earth catapulted Celestial Buddies to the forefront of toy industry news.  Now, less than a year later, Celestial Buddies enters the International Toy Fair as the company with The Most Famous Toy in the Universe. In addition, Jessie Silbert, company founder and designer of the Celestial Buddies line, has been a named a Finalist for The 2020 Women in Toys Rising Star Award!

About Celestial Buddies: The Celestial Buddies collection now includes 15 different plush educational toys, including a Black Hole bag that carries all of the Buddies, plus its new environmental-message Celestial Buddies T-shirt. Through both careful selection of fabrics and decisions regarding size, shape and features, the company designs each Buddy to stay true to its unique variations in order to create an artistic interpretation of each celestial body. The products are sold around the world online as well as in museums, gift shops, science centers, planetariums, and specialty stores in North America, Europe and Australia.
