Mego Corporation to Create Action Figures for truTV’s Impractical Jokers
Legendary toy creator will reveal its latest pop culture action figure toys at Toy Fair 2019

NEW YORK – February 17, 2019 – Mego Corporation, the original action figure toy creator, will unveil its Impractical Jokers line of action figure toys at Toy Fair 2019. From truTV’s popular hidden-camera television series, the series’ four stars – Joe Gatto, James “Murr” Murray, Sal Vulcano and Brian “Q” Quinn – will be the newest additions to the Marty Abrams Presents Mego line. During Toy Fair, the 8-inch action figure of each of the four best friends turned television stars – to be released in March – will be on display at booth number 2553.

Under the direction of Marty Abrams, the father of the modern action hero, Mego Corp. launched the action-figure craze in the 1970s and 80s with product licenses for Star Trek, Planet of the Apes, DC and Marvel Super Heroes, KISS, Dr. Who, Joe Namath, Muhammed Ali, Farrah Fawcett, CHiPS, Dallas and the Dukes of Hazzard among many others. Now, after more than three decades, Mego Corp. is back with the newly launched the Marty Abrams Presents Mego line. In reviving the brand, Abrams is augmenting the “Legends” line of nostalgia characters with a contemporary “Pop Culture” line that includes the Impractical Jokers.

Currently broadcast around the world, the Impractical Jokers television series and the hilarious dares and punishments it captures will now live in perpetuity as action figures via Mego Corp’s signature 14-point articulation design. With this license, Mego Corp. has recreated some of the more unforgettable costumes worn by the cast members while filming the series.

“One of Mego Corp’s specialties is capturing prominent television characters so fans can keep part of the show at home with them,” said Marty Abrams, co-founder and CEO of Mego Corporation. “Entering their eighth season, Joe, James, Sal and Brian, are creative masterminds; they are hilarious entertainers with whom we have the honor of working in order to provide loyal viewers with access to their favorite ‘Jokers’ in three-dimensional form.”
