Find Innovative New Toys & Games from First-Time Exhibitors in Toy Fair’s ‘Launch Pad’

February 6, 2020 | More than 25,000 attendees and about 1,000 toy and game companies from around the world will converge in less than two weeks for the 117th Toy Fair New York. If you’re attending the show and seeking out what’s new, be sure to head over to this year’s “Launch Pad.”

Featuring rising toy inventors and international companies looking to ink deals and expand their products to the U.S., the dedicated area (Hall 1E) of the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center is expected to bring in 122 first-time Toy Fair exhibitors this year.

“Since its establishment, Toy Fair’s Launch Pad has developed a proven track record of delivering unique product from up-and-coming inventors as well as well-known companies making their Toy Fair debut,” said Marian Bossard, executive vice president of global market events at The Toy Association, the trade group that produces Toy Fair. “This is the place for influential toy buyers to discover emerging toy properties and out-of-the-box concepts that flip the script on timeless toys and games. All are encouraged to walk the Hall 1E area and explore what these first-time exhibitors have to offer!”

Retailers exploring the Launch Pad will have access to toys and games from exhibitors representing 19 countries, including Australia, Belgium, France, Greece, India, Lithuania, Greece, Hungary, Mexico, the Netherlands, Taiwan, Ukraine, and the U.K.

As the largest toy, game, and youth entertainment marketplace in the Western Hemisphere, Toy Fair will feature hundreds of thousands of toys and games from new and veteran toymakers across nearly 8 football fields worth of exhibit space. Thirty countries will be represented by exhibitors at Toy Fair.

To date, buyers from the top 25 toy sellers in the U.S. and mid-mass chains representing the $27 billion U.S. toy industry have registered for Toy Fair, including Walmart, Target, and Amazon. Toy Fair also attracts specialty buyers from around the U.S., in search of trending toys, creativity-fueling products, and fun educational playthings to bring shoppers into their stores.
