January 7, 2019 | Exhibitors at Toy Fair New York are invited to take advantage of free publicity opportunities to maximize their media exposure leading up to and during the show. The Toy Association is reminding exhibitors to sign up soon, as deadlines are fast approaching:
- Free Listing in the Toy Fair Online Press Room (Deadline: January 16 at 5 p.m. Eastern)
Toy Fair’s Online Press Room is a valuable tool that allows exhibitors to post their company profiles, press releases, and other pertinent information for the media. All exhibitors receive a complimentary “virtual” news page that includes a 50-word company backgrounder and logo; list of PR contacts with mobile numbers; a link to the exhibitor’s website; and links to the exhibitor’s social media accounts, if applicable. Additional services, from posting press releases to wire service distributions, are available for a fee. To secure a listing, fill out the order form. For questions about enhanced services, contact Virtual Press Office, The Toy Association’s online press room partner, at 973.783.7787, option 0 or sales@vpoinc.com.
- Annual Product Preview (Deadline to make an appointment: February 8) The annual Product Preview will take place on Friday, February 15 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. in the Press Center at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, South Concourse. This is a great opportunity for companies to share information about their key drivers so that the Toy Fair PR team can educate media about products and companies at the show. Companies participating in the Product Preview will be able to provide one product image for a "new product showcase" video loop that will play in the Press Center throughout the show. Additional information will be provided when your appointment is confirmed. For more information or to schedule an appointment, contact Michela Mickaluck, product preview coordinator. Preference is given to Toy Association members on a first come, first served basis.
- Additional Free PR Resources for Toy Fair Exhibitors. Be sure to view the PR Bootcamp Webinar, which provides great tips related to Toy Fair PR, including building a media list, creating a press kit, and other PR resources at the show. And don’t forget to register for two Toy Fair social media webinars: Social Media 101 for Toy Companies, taking place on January 10 at 2 p.m. (Eastern), and How Companies Can Leverage Social Media at Toy Fair taking place on January 17 at 2 p.m. (Eastern).
