January 29, 2019 | Mark your calendar for The Toy Association’s annual “Toy Trends Briefing,” taking place on Sunday, February 17 at Toy Fair New York.
Toy Fair attendees will get a glimpse at this year’s hottest toy and game trends from The Toy Association’s in-house trend experts. The team will present each trend and the latest developments in play with demos and product examples directly from the show floor. The seminar is always well attended and highly recommended for media and buyers.
“While we don’t want to give away too much before the show, I can tell you that some trends and themes from last year will be carrying through in 2019 – of course in an amped up way,” said Adrienne Appell, the Association’s leading trends specialist. “Each year, attendance at this informative and fun-filled session continues to grow as media, buyers, manufacturers, and licensors, come to preview what’s new, what’s next, and trending in the toy space. We encourage all Toy Fair attendees to grab a seat!”
Throughout the year, The Toy Association’s trends team meets with hundreds of companies and attends events and conferences to scout new products, societal trends, and emerging play patterns. The “Toy Trends Briefing” at Toy Fair represents the culmination of this work and highlights the various factors that are expected to influence toy and game purchases in the months ahead.
Free and open to all Toy Fair attendees (and specifically recommended for buyers and media), the “Toy Trends Briefing” will take place at 4 p.m. in Room 1E09 of the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. More information about the seminar and the full range of Knowledge Network sessions taking place at Toy Fair can be found at ToyFairNY.com.
The 116th North American International Toy Fair will take place February 16 to 19, 2019 in New York City.
