July 10, 2023 | As anticipation builds for the return of the most iconic trade show in the industry, Toy Fair® exhibitors are encouraged to take advantage of the New York City event’s fourth quarter timing to generate media buzz for their products and brands at the start of the holiday shopping season.
“For companies looking to make a lasting impression in front of press, buyers, and other key decision makers, Toy Fair (taking place September 30 to October 3) is the not-to-miss event of the year,” said Kimberly Carcone, executive vice president of global market events at The Toy Association™. “By strategically positioning products to maximize visibility, exhibitors can ride the Q4 wave of excitement and anticipation surrounding the hottest toys, games, and brands, ultimately propelling their success throughout the holiday season and beyond.”
Amidst the bustling atmosphere, exhibitors will find an array of opportunities to connect with members of the global press, including journalists, content creators, and digital influencers. Whether you're a seasoned participant or a first-time exhibitor, here are some valuable tips to maximize coverage and make the most out of your time at Toy Fair:
- Free Toy Fair Online Press Room Spotlight
(Deadline: August 15, 2023)
Toy Fair’s Online Press Room is a valuable tool that allows exhibitors to post their company profiles, press releases, and other pertinent information for the media. All exhibitors receive a complimentary spotlight on a dedicated page that includes the company’s name, a 100-word description, booth number, and website link. This page will also be turned into a press release, which will be posted to the press room and distributed via email to registered media for the show, increasing visibility and attracting more attention. Additional services, from posting press releases to wire service distributions, are available for a fee. To secure your listing, log in to your exhibitor profile through Map Your Show. On that page, make sure you have your URL and the field labeled "Press Description" filled out no later than August 15. For questions about enhanced services, contact Erienne Muldoon at Virtual Press Office, The Toy Association’s online press room partner.
- Annual Product Preview
(Deadline to Book: August 31, 2023)
The annual Toy Fair Product Preview will take place on Friday, September 29 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Press Center at the Javits Center. This is a great opportunity for companies to share information about their key drivers so that the Toy Fair PR team can educate media about products and companies at the show. For more information or to schedule an appointment, contact The Toy Association’s Maddie Michalik. Preference is given to Toy Association members on a first come, first served basis.
